Two labels only
Every review or comparison uses one of two labels:
- Tested / hands-on — we used the product or ran the software.
- Research-based — we did not. The piece is built from official docs, manufacturer specs, and named third-party reviews, each cited with a date.
There is no third label. “Reviewed,” “verified in-house,” “our take after looking at it,” and similar weasel wording are not allowed. If we did not run it, it is Research-based.
Ranking independence
Editorial rankings stay independent of sponsorship and affiliate commissions. A commission does not buy a ranking, a Best Of slot, or a Tested label. See Editorial Policy and Sponsorship and Advertising Policy.
What we refuse
- Invented benchmarks or unnamed “many reviewers say”
- A Tested claim with no hands-on work behind it
- Weasel “reviewed” wording without a clear Tested or Research-based label
- Crypto, fake free Robux, or giveaway bait framed as reviews
Affiliate status
Amazon Associates and other affiliate programs are blocked until eligibility = YES per asset. Until that YES, product names only — no Amazon, no tracking redirects. Disclosure lives on Affiliate Disclosure.
