Editorial Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026 (Asia/Manila)

This page is how LegitGameplay writes, what we refuse, and how money is not allowed to pick winners. It is a trust page. It does not belong in the public header. If it publishes, it belongs in the footer later — not in Primary chrome.

LegitGameplay is a small site for people who build in Roblox Studio and for creators shopping gear and streaming tools. It is not a news ticker and not a dump of ranked listicles.

Independence

Editorial picks stay independent of commissions. A commission does not buy a ranking, a Best Of slot, or a Tested label. We do not invent “experts recommend” copy. We do not cover crypto. We do not publish fake free Robux.

Amazon Associates and other affiliate programs are blocked until eligibility = YES per asset. That is an ops gate, not a forever marketing promise. If a specific post or page is later cleared for affiliate links, those links are disclosed on Affiliate Disclosure. Until that YES, product names only — no Amazon, no tracking redirects.

Two labels only

Every guide uses one of two labels, defined on Testing Methodology:

  • Tested / hands-on — we used the product or ran the software.
  • Research-based — we did not. The guide is built from official docs, manufacturer specs, and named third-party reviews, each cited with a date.

There is no third label. “Reviewed,” “verified in-house,” “our take after looking at it,” and similar weasel wording are not allowed. If we did not run it, it is Research-based.

How pages get made

Pages may be drafted with AI assistance. A human editor is accountable for what publishes: they cut, they check sources, they own the Tested vs Research-based label. That is not the same as claiming the page is “human-written.” It isn’t, if a model drafted it. The accountable editor is a person.

If a post reads like a press release, it gets edited or pulled.

What we will not publish

  • A Tested claim with no hands-on work behind it
  • Invented quotes, invented benchmarks, or unnamed “many reviewers say”
  • Crypto farms, giveaway bait, or fake free Robux
  • Free-model dumps or malware-adjacent “easy win” Studio kits as if they were ours
  • Affiliate links on an asset that has not been cleared (eligibility = YES)

Corrections

There is no public Corrections log page yet. We do not promise one is live. If you spot a factual error, use Contact. Do not send passwords or ID. We will fix the page. When a Corrections page exists, we will record the change there — until then, Contact is the path.

Where this sits

This is a trust page. After APPROVE it may go in the footer with About, Contact, Privacy, and Affiliate Disclosure. It does not go in Primary, main, mobile, or FSE header chrome.
